Curling 101

About the Sport

Curling has a long and rich history tracing back to 16th-century Scotland. Today, it remains a sport of strategy, finesse, and camaraderie contested by teams of four. The core objective is simple: deliver your granite stones closer to the center of the target rings (the "house") than your opponent.

Respect, honor, and tradition are core elements of the game. Curlers are a close-knit community, and tradition calls for both teams to sit together after every game to socialize. Come join us on the ice!

A 2-Minute Guide to Curling

Curling Etiquette & Traditions

🤝 Handshake Tradition

Start and end every match with a hearty handshake, introduce yourself, and wish your opponents "Good Curling."

👟 Clean Footwear

Sand, grit, and dirt are the ice's worst enemy. Wear clean shoes dedicated strictly to indoor curling use.

⏱️ Pace of Play

Take your position in the hack as soon as your opponent delivers. Keep games moving efficiently.

👏 Good Sportsmanship

Compliment great shots from either team. Stay clear of the house unless actively sweeping or scoring.
